Additional Missions Work
Church on Mill supports Casa De Amor Baptist Center, a community ministry caring center
funded by the Valley Rim Association of Southern Baptists. Casa De Amor is an inner city food,
clothing and training ministry located at 819 S. MacDonald Avenue in Mesa. The quality of
ministry and service to the community has been written in the city newspaper and recognized as a
recipient of the Spirit of Mesa award for community service for 2003. Hours of operation are Monday-
Wednesday, 9:00am to Noon. Senior adult activities are held on Wednesday mornings followed by a meal
at noon. Computer classes are offered on Monday and Tuesday. Those wishing to volunteer (long or
short term), make donations, or seek assistance may countact our Director, Barbara Erman Sauerman at 480/464-2877.
Casa De Amor is currently in need of canned green beans, corn and fruit, bags of pinto beans, toothpaste and toilet
paper. They also have a great need for grocery store brown paper bags. Please continue to bring your new or
gently used household items, clothing, non-perishable food, and toiletries to our closet located outside the
office. Please make sure the items are clean, useable and ready for distribution.
Additional items are being collected for the Food For Plenty Food Drive through November 19.
