Missions Ministry

Purpose

Church on Mill has a long-standing tradition of being a missions-minded church. We believe that the focus of missions should be to help fulfill the Great Commission, not just in our community, but to the ends of the earth.

We do this by participating in missions, giving to missions on local, national, and international levels, and praying and supporting mission projects and missionaries.

Additional Missions Work

Casa De Amor Baptist Center

Church on Mill supports Casa De Amor Baptist Center, a community ministry caring center funded by the Valley Rim Association of Southern Baptists. Casa De Amor is an inner city food, clothing and training ministry located in Mesa. Senior adult activities are held on Wednesday mornings followed by a meal at noon. Computer classes are offered on Monday and Tuesday.

Casa De Amor is currently in need of canned green beans, corn and fruit, bags of pinto beans, toothpaste and toilet paper, and grocery store brown paper bags. Please continue to bring your new or gently used household items, clothing, non-perishable food, and toiletries to our closet located outside the office. Please make sure the items are clean, useable and ready for distribution.

A Place to Call Home: ABCS Missionary Home

The ABCS Missionary Home (provided by Arizona Baptist Children’s Services) is located near Camelback Road and Loop 101 near the Peoria Sports Complex. Its purpose is to provide housing to IMB and NAMB missionaries coming to Arizona on stateside assignment or for medical treatment. The desire of the partnership is to provide this home at no cost to the missionary family.

COM is partnering with about 10 other churches and is committed to $100 per month in financial support. The home currently has several requests for use through December 2012.
