The youth yard sale is this Saturday starting at 6:45 AM – it ends at 12 but the youth need to stay to help pack up at the end and so they should be done by 1. The preparation for the yard sale is this coming Friday from 4:30 till 7. We are still in need of items to sale as well.
Youth Fund Raising Event Set Up Date Changed
The date of preparing the items for the youth camp yard sale has moved from Thursday May 10th to Friday May 11th. We will still meet from 4:30 till 7PM in the worship center.This is due to a scheduling conflict, I hope many of you can make it on Friday.
Yard Sale Fund Raising Event
Hi All,
The youth yard sale for summer camp is going to be on May 12 from 7 AM till 12. The youth who are helping with this event need to arrive at 6:40 AM and are expected to stay until all items are put away. We will be pricing items on Thursday May 10th from 4:30 till 7 PM. Also if anyone is free during the day on the 10th and could help prepare the items let me know. We are collecting any items, please bring them to the youth building.
Meeting this Wednesday for local summer mission trip
This Wednesday April 4th from 6 to 6:30 PM we will have an informational meeting for the parents and youth about Serve the City.We will meet in the east side of the youth house, it will be the room where the band won’t be practicing! Serve the City is the student ministries summer local mission trip which will take place right here in the valley! Starting Sunday evening June 3 through June 9 are the dates. This will be a great opportunity to continue what we have started with one of our fall festivals. We will have VBS at the Oaks home in the morning, followed by a variety of service projects in the afternoon. In the evening we will have worship and teaching times as well as some activities mixed in. If you cannot make this meeting let me know and I can meet with you at a later date.
Summer Mission Trip- Save the Date
This summer the student ministry is sponsoring a summer mission trip right here in the valley! Starting Sunday evening June 3 through June 9 are the dates. This will be a great opportunity to continue what we have started with one of our fall festivals. We will have VBS at the Oaks home in the morning, followed by a variety of service projects in the afternoon. In the evening we will have worship and teaching times as well as some activities mixed in. More information will be announced in a few weeks.

Youth Talent Show
The youth talent show fund raising event is this Saturday. The event starts at 6:30 and will take place at Church on Mill. There will be a Silent Auction that night as well. We are also needing donations so if you would like to make or bake something for this event please let Bill know.Some items folks are bringing include art work,a cake, drawing, and baby sitting service.
I need the youth to be at the church by 5:15 in order to set up. When the event is finished we will need all to stay and help with clean up.

Youth Group Upcoming Events
As Thanksgiving and Christmas are fast approaching we wanted to send out some information about upcoming events.
November 20 5:40 PM- Youth helping with childcare for Church on Mill Thanksgiving. we need as many youth to help as possible plus a few adults as well. The funds we receive will go each youths own future camp or mission trip fund. Please let Bill Heaton know if you can help.
November 23- No TM412 due to Thanksgiving.
December 10 6 PM- Youth Christmas Party- we will have our youth Christmas party at the Ginns home. Dinner will be served and we will have a devotional, smores and a gift exchange.
December 14- Zoo Lights. The youth will be going to Zoo Lights this evening. It is our last TM412 of the year. We will meet at 5:45 PM in the youth building and will return at 8:15PM. In order to get the tickets for the $5 rate we must order and pay for them ahead of time. All money must be turned into Bill Heaton by November 20th. Those youth attending will also need to have permission slips which will given out soon.
Youth Digital Scavenger Hunt
We are having our annual Back to School Event and by popular demand we are doing a digital scavenger hunt. The youth and an adult will be in teams and will go around Downtown Tempe and ASU taking fun and crazy pictures. They will then meet back up at the college house view the pictures and eat dinner, and prizes will be awarded. Invite friends to come. If you have a digital camera and can bring it let Bill know. Meet at the college house at Church on Mill at 4:30 PM.
Case For Christ Study Begins
This week TM412 starts back up at 6:30 on Wednesday night in the youth house. We are beginning the study called Case For Christ. This week we will look at who Jesus claimed to be. By his claims he was ether the Christ, a liar or he was crazy, we will look at these three and will see how is Jesus is indeed Christ. Also we will play broomball so wear or bring close toed shoes.
Come this Wednesday and let’s look at the evidence together.
Splash and Calendar Updates
Hi everyone,
I hope school is going great for each of you, I wanted to send out an update so everyone would have the current information.
Splash- Wednesday August 17 is the last splash of the summer, we are at the Murphy’s Home where we will swim, eat and hear our last Losers Club lesson. It’s about Samson. We start at 6 and end at 8.
Calendar correction: The Hide and Seek event has been moved. The church website has it listed but this information is incorrect, so don’t show up Sunday night. I will be sending the updated date soon.
Digital Scavenger Hunt is on September 3, meet at the church at 4:30PM. We will send you in groups around ASU and downtown Tempe. You will take crazy pictures and then meet back at the church to view them, eat dinner and maybe win a prize. Invite your friends to this fun event. Sign ups start on Sunday.
