Living a Life of True Worship –Study by Kay Arthur, Bob & Diane Vereen
What is worship? How…when…where does one worship God in spirit and in truth? People were made for worship. But worship of whom – or what? Does it matter as long as a person finds what works for her? Is there a way to worship that is right – and another that is false? Is there a way that will help us develop a genuine intimate relationship with God? These are the questions we will answer as we search out what the Bible has to say about the subject of worship in our next Wednesday night women’s study. We are going to take an inductive approach, which means that you will observe the Word of God for yourself. Then discovering what it says and means, you can determine if you want to order your life according to its truth. No homework is required for this six week Bible study. Unglued: Making Wise Choices in the Midst of Raw Emotions. An exciting new six session study on Wednesday nights! If you have ever experienced emotional outbursts – or been accused of being emotional – or have determined friends or family members are emotional, this study just might be able to help you. Ladies, come join us on Wednesday nights in the College Building at 6:30, beginning January 16. We will learn our emotions are to be indicators, not dictators. There is hope. Women’s Christmas Party – Sweatshirts and S’mores: A Movie Night

Women’s Bible study on Wednesday nights at 6:30, Sept. 12 , college building
James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple with Beth Moore’s study James: Mercy Triumphs. James is a book with many topics — social justice, joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer — all of which are covered in this study. Ladies Bible Study – Thursday nights in July
Ladies join us for Bible study on Thursday nights at 6:30pm (July 5, 12, 19, & 26). We’ll snack and fellowship and dive into the book of Philippians, asking ourselves three questions to prompt discussion (lightbulb, question mark, and arrow). Bring your Bible, a pen, and a friend. Sign up on the patio and talk to Katina if you need childcare.

Women’s Ministry Game Night

Women’s Bible Study – Wednesday Nights at 6:30pm
Join us for a 5-week study starting on April 4. Kona with Jonah (one in the Coffee Cup Bible Studies series by Sandra Glahn), explores more than just a chronology about the Israelite prophet Jonah. We also catch a glimpse of God’s heart for the lost and the compassion of heaven for a nation of hopeless causes. More than that, we also discover the response God wants his followers to have toward all people, even the most flagrantly violent and immoral, including their enemies. Especially their enemies. A new 9 week women’s Bible study will be starting on Wednesday nights, beginning March 21 at 6:30pm. The book is called Be Transformed and is based on material from Dr. Scott Hadden of Scope Ministries. It is a guide to an intense examination of the misconceptions and patterns of belief we hold that keep us from knowing our true identitites in Christ. This is a study for those who want to become unstuck from what has been holding them back from experiencing true joy in Christ. The class will be limited to 10 to allow for the group dynamic needed for this material.

Training vs Trying
Join us on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm-8:00pm, beginning January 11th. Location TBD. This study is about living out the character of Jesus sustained by the power that He gives us by practicing spiritual disciplines. We will be learning about and practicing scripture meditation, prayer, solitude, endurance, and loving others. You can purchase a book for $5 through Church on Mill. You Can Change
This study shows how change and growth takes place in the Christian life-how we can overcome sinful behavior and negative emotions through the liberating grace of God. It shows not only that change takes place through faith rather than legalism, but also shows how change takes place through faith. It’s built around ten questions than enables readers to work on a particular issue in their own lives. Join us on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 in the College Building, starting on January 12th.
